The Ultimate Porsche 911: A Half-Billion Dong Luxury in Hanoi
The Porsche 911 has received its latest update, known as the 992.2, and several of these cars have already hit the roads in Vietnam. One particular eye-catching example sports a sleek gray exterior and the impressive license plate number 30M-279.79. This lucky number plate, with the number 2 at the beginning, is believed to bring good fortune to its owner.
The license plate 30M-279.79 was auctioned off twice, with the most recent bid reaching an impressive 510 million VND in December last year. This means that the owner of this Porsche 911 has invested over half a billion VND in the license plate alone, indicating that they have also opted for a range of luxurious upgrades for their vehicle.
Compared to its predecessor, the 992.1, Porsche has refined the 911’s exterior design with carefully selected details, most of which aim to enhance the car’s aerodynamics and overall performance. The standard LED Matrix headlights now feature integrated turn signals, eliminating the need for separate front indicators, and larger cooling air intakes at the front.
Porsche offers an optional HD-Matrix LED headlight upgrade with over 32,000 pixels. These advanced headlights provide a range of over 600 meters and include additional functions such as curve lighting that adapts to the driving mode, lane and construction site lighting, and pixel-precise anti-glare high beams.
The rear light bar has been redesigned as a continuous light strip with an integrated “Porsche” logo, giving the 911’s rear end a deeper and more powerful appearance. The rear grille has also been redesigned with five fins on each side, seamlessly blending with the rear window when the retractable spoiler is retracted.

The interior of the 911 has been redesigned with a standard two-seat layout. For the first time, a new start/stop button is positioned to the left of the steering wheel. The 911 features a fully digital instrument cluster offering seven display modes, including a Classic mode that pays homage to the traditional design with five circular instruments, including a central rev counter.
The Porsche 911 992.2 is powered by a revised 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine that reduces emissions and boosts output to 290 kW (394 PS), with a maximum torque of 450 Nm. The new 911 Carrera accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono package) and has a top speed of 294 km/h.
