Thailand Retakes the Lead in Auto Imports to Vietnam, Surpassing Indonesia

According to a report by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first half of May, the country imported a total of 9,324 completely built-up (CBU) automobiles, with a total value of nearly 215 million USD . The group of automobiles with 9 seats or fewer still accounted for the majority, with a total of 7,226 units cleared through customs from May 1st to May 15th. The total import value of this group was 132.8 million USD , equivalent to an average import value of 18,378 USD per car, or approximately 459 million VND per car. From the beginning of the year, Vietnam has completed the import of a total of 74,324 CBU automobiles of all kinds, with a total value of approximately 1.615 billion USD . This new version offers more power, refined handling, a sportier suspension, and an emotionally-charged exhaust note. The Nissan Patrol, rumored to be launched in Vietnam this year, will reportedly include the high-performance Nismo variant. Specifically, the new Nissan Patrol Nismo is equipped with a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 gasoline engine, producing a maximum output of 460 horsepower.
